La Manufactor – La Compagnie des Fourvoyeurs

The Manufactor – The Company of Misguiders is an artistic creation of Manufactor ASBL, based in Mons. Active for several years in the region, this group constitutes a collective of street theater and immersive performance. Through their wandering animations, they bring a steampunk, fantastic, and slightly creepy touch, transforming the city into a living stage through carefully crafted costumes, evocative masks, and striking visual structures.

Artistically, the troupe stands out with a powerful visual style, blending retro-futuristic influences, dark ambiance, and fantastic medieval references. The characters portrayed range from the unsettling bounty hunter to the post-apocalyptic forest troll, always with a strong narrative dimension. This dimension is enhanced by expressive gazes, dynamic staging, and physical acting that allows everyone to feel the intensity of the show.

Beyond performances, La Manufactor sometimes offers workshops, urban treasure hunts, and thematic trails, where participants become actors in the story, sometimes equipped with maps, puzzles to solve, and guided through mysterious atmospheres. These original experiences blend cultural animation, playfulness, and direct interaction, encouraging the discovery of Mons from a new and participatory angle.

- The Chest of Legends

A journey of stories… at your fingertips

An old chest sits in the middle of the stage. It overflows with unusual, mysterious, forgotten objects… A storyteller grabs it and invites the audience to choose an object. From this simple gesture, he brings forth a unique story: magical, funny, epic, or tender.

Each object becomes a door to the imagination. Each spectator becomes a guardian of a legend.

- The Prevention Agents

Welcome to a zone of controlled high absurdity.

With the Security Agents, the audience is confronted with zealous characters who block the way citing completely absurd reasons. In any case, passage is mandatory… but forbidden.

The only way to continue? Negotiate, argue, outsmart — or even bribe — these not-so-bright characters. A series of misunderstandings, puns, and comical situations then ensues… but is it really a skit or a sometimes disturbing reality?
