Trolls & Legends Festival 2019

For its 2019 edition, Trolls & Legends plunged visitors into the heart of a captivating mythological universe, on April 19, 20, and 21 in Mons. This spring edition, bathed in exceptional sunshine with temperatures over 27°C, offered a weekend of unforgettable discoveries and encounters.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, festival-goers were able to meet exceptional guests from all walks of life. In the literary realm, Graham Masterton, the British master of horror and author of the famous "The Manitou," shared his dark and captivating universe with thrill-seekers. The comic book scene was represented by Ted Naifeh, American creator of the gothic series "Courtney Crumrin," known for his distinctive style and fantastic tales.
The world of gaming and illustration was honored with Paul Bonner, a renowned artist from the Warhammer and Games Workshop universe, whose fantastic creations have left a mark on the role-playing game world. Virginie Ropars, a French artist specializing in fantasy sculpture, also enriched this creative program.
Cinema and television were not left out, with the appearance of Kevin Sorbo, the unforgettable Hercules from the series "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys," and Natalia Tena, known for her roles as Nymphadora Tonks in Harry Potter and Osha in Game of Thrones, two iconic figures of modern fantasy.
Throughout the weekend, conferences on ancient gods and myths, exhibitions of illustrations inspired by fantastic creatures, signing sessions, game tournaments, and animations intertwined to create an immersive and festive experience. The fairy market, play areas, and various activities complemented this sunny edition, marked by a shared passion for mythology and fantasy.
