Trolls & Legends Festival 2025

For its 20th anniversary, Trolls & Legends celebrated its 12th edition at Lotto Mons Expo, on April 18, 19, and 20, 2025. This anniversary edition brought together the large family of fantasy for a weekend where the imaginary came to life in all its forms.
In a festive and warm atmosphere, festival-goers had the chance to meet exceptional international headliners. Joe Abercrombie, Guy Gavriel Kay, master of historical fantasy, and Tasha Suri, winner of the 2022 World Fantasy Award, shared their passion with the audience. The Francophone delegation was represented by figures like Aleksi Briclot, concept artist from Marvel Studios, and Rawia Arroum, a new voice in French fantasy.
On the comic book side, many artists came to interact with their readers. The cinema enchanted visitors with international stars like Peter Mensah (Spartacus, Gladiator 2) and Graham McTavish (The Hobbit, Outlander, The Witcher), alongside French talents Nicolas Gabion and Bo Gaultier de Kermoal (Kaamelott).
The concerts once again transported festival-goers, with exceptional bands like Myrkur and its atmospheric black metal, the Icelandic legends Sólstafir and Skálmöld, and the unique gaming music of Miracle of Sound.
The gaming world celebrated its 20 years with legends like Ian Livingstone (founder of Games Workshop), Paul Bonner, and François Froideval, a French pioneer of role-playing games.
The new features of this edition enriched the experience: a manga pavilion under the sponsorship of NADOU, with artists like Maliki, and a cyber zone with digital creators like Manonolita and Fausthea, representing this new generation of artists who are redefining the codes of fantastic creation.
Exhibitions, animations, parades, and a fairy market completed this celebration of 20 years of shared passion, proving once again that Trolls & Legends is much more than a festival: it is a big family where the magic of fantasy is lived and shared.
